When you are tired of being the strong one

Faith can travel through generations, and so can a new pattern.

2 Timothy 1:5

When you are tired of being the strong one. It is easy to sound spiritual until this is the thing sitting in front of you. Sometimes the first change is simply recognizing the pattern sooner. Catching the old pattern before you obey it again is real progress. What repeated in your family can be acknowledged without being inherited as destiny. Jesus Christ can interrupt what has traveled through generations. Reflex is fast, but truth can still interrupt it. Choose the response that agrees with Jesus Christ.

Which part of this are you treating as if everything depends on you? What would trusting God with that part actually require?

Lord Jesus, separate the facts of this situation from the fearful meaning I have attached to them. Lead me in what is mine to do and help me release what is not. Amen.
