When you are trying to force clarity

Colossians 3:15

Let the peace of Christ rule in your heart.

When you are trying to force clarity. That sounds small until it is your Tuesday morning. You do not have to deny what is happening. Christianity is not pretending. The question is whether the circumstance gets to become lord over the meaning of your life. You do not need omniscience to make a faithful decision. Jesus Christ can direct a surrendered person one step at a time. You are allowed to slow down long enough to choose obedience instead of repetition.

What part of this situation belongs to you, and what part are you trying to carry for God?

Jesus, I do not want an old pattern making today's decision for me. Renew my mind, steady my emotions, and lead me in truth. You are Lord here too. Amen.
