When you are trying to force clarity

Let the peace of Christ rule in your heart.

Colossians 3:15

When you are trying to force clarity. That sounds small until it is your Tuesday morning. You can tell the truth about what is happening without surrendering to it. This moment can be difficult without becoming the source of your truth. You are allowed to move without possessing every answer. Jesus Christ can direct a surrendered person one step at a time. Give yourself enough room to respond on purpose. Choose what is faithful, not merely what is familiar.

What responsibility has God truly placed in your hands here? Where does surrender need to begin after responsibility ends?

Jesus Christ, I refuse to let a familiar pattern become my automatic answer again. Steady me in the moment between trigger and response, and lead me there. Amen.
