When you are trying to prove you are not who they said you were
In Christ, you are chosen and called out of darkness into His light.
1 Peter 2:9
When you are trying to prove you are not who they said you were. You can look completely fine on the outside while this is doing a number on you inside. Your emotions can be honest signals without becoming instructions. Do not let fear become control, rejection become chasing, shame become hiding, or exhaustion become permission to abandon wisdom. Your identity is larger than the role, title, appearance, or approval attached to you. Return your identity to the One who created and redeemed you. Control is not the goal of this moment. Remain surrendered to Christ in the unresolved middle.
What conclusion have you treated as settled simply because this moment hurts? What truth becomes easier to hear when this moment is not final?
Jesus, I give up the illusion that I can secure every result. Teach me where my responsibility ends and surrender begins. Amen.
