When you are trying to quit without replacing. That sounds small until it is your Tuesday morning. Honesty about the circumstance is not unbelief. What is happening can be acknowledged without becoming the ruler of your identity. What begins as comfort can become control when choice slowly disappears. Obedience can become a stronger pattern than the appetite that once led you. Do not let urgency make the decision for you. A deliberate response can interrupt what has repeated for years.

Where does your responsibility end in this situation? What can you entrust to Jesus Christ after you have been faithful with your part?

Jesus, interrupt the automatic response in me that does not agree with Your truth. Renew my thinking and strengthen me for the next right action. Amen.
