When you are waiting for healing

God's appointed time may seem slow, but His word is not late.

Habakkuk 2:3

When you are waiting for healing. It is easy to sound spiritual until this is the thing sitting in front of you. The situation may remain the same while something important changes in you. Seeing the reflex before following it gives truth room to lead. Waiting can feel empty while still being inhabited by God. God's presence is not measured by how quickly the circumstance changes. You can stop the next chapter from being written on autopilot. A faithful interruption can keep the same story from repeating.

Where is control masquerading as responsibility? What belongs in God's hands instead?

Jesus Christ, I bring You the pattern that keeps trying to decide before I do. Lead me in truth even if the old reaction still feels more natural. Amen.
