When you are waiting for the house to sell

Those who wait on the Lord receive renewed strength.

Isaiah 40:31

When you are waiting for the house to sell. There is usually more happening here than the obvious problem. There is no virtue in denial, but there is also no freedom in self-definition by circumstance. Let truth describe the circumstance without allowing it to define your worth. A quiet season is not the same thing as divine absence. Jesus Christ remains Lord while the answer is still forming outside your sight. Stop presenting God with the polished summary. He is not surprised by what the polished version leaves out.

What personal story has grown around the facts of the situation? What part of that story needs to be surrendered to truth?

Jesus, show me where I have added fear, shame, or prediction to the facts. Teach me the next faithful step and help me trust You beyond it. Amen.
