When you are waiting for your child to come back around

God's appointed time may seem slow, but His word is not late.

Habakkuk 2:3

When you are waiting for your child to come back around. That sounds small until it is your Tuesday morning. You do not have to minimize the situation to trust Jesus Christ. Reality deserves honesty, but it does not deserve lordship. Waiting can feel empty while still being inhabited by God. Jesus Christ remains Lord while the answer is still forming outside your sight. Refuse the pressure to react automatically. Use that space to make a faithful choice instead of an automatic one.

What is yours to steward today? What outcome are you carrying that belongs in God's hands?

Jesus, I do not want familiarity to outrank obedience in this moment. Lead me in truth even if the old reaction still feels more natural. Amen.
