When you are working for someone younger than you

Work wholeheartedly as for the Lord, not merely for human approval.

Colossians 3:23

When you are working for someone younger than you. The situation may be ordinary, but the story you attach to it can shape the whole day. You may feel pressure to do something simply so the tension will decrease. Ask whether the response is wise, not merely whether it makes the discomfort disappear. Your work deserves stewardship, but it does not deserve your identity. Serve with integrity, but keep your identity rooted in Christ rather than your output. Today does not need to carry the weight of your entire life. Decide whether fear, habit, or Jesus Christ will lead the next response.
