When you cannot fix your child's heartbreak
Ephesians 6:4
Parents should raise children in the instruction of the Lord without provoking them.
When you cannot fix your child's heartbreak. This is where faith gets practical. Pay attention to the sentence your mind writes next. Is it telling you that you are unwanted, unsafe, behind, foolish, trapped, or forgotten? That sentence matters because repeated thoughts eventually start sounding like facts. Your child is deeply loved by you, but belongs to God before they belong to your expectations. Jesus Christ can lead where your control cannot reach. One honest decision under the lordship of Jesus Christ can be the beginning of a completely different pattern.
What would you advise someone you love to do if they were standing where you are?
Jesus Christ, show me what is true in this situation and expose the story I have added to it. Give me wisdom for my part, courage to obey You, and enough trust to leave the outcome in Your hands. Amen.
