You may not control the other person, the timing, the number, the diagnosis, or the outcome. You do control what you agree with and what you bring to Jesus Christ. Love does not require you to ignore wisdom. Jesus Christ can teach you to love people without handing them authority He never gave them. Do the next faithful thing, then stop trying to carry the part that belongs to God.

Jesus Christ, I release my need to control how this turns out. Help me steward what You actually placed in my hands and trust You with what You did not. Amen.
