Godliness with contentment is great gain.

When you keep avoiding the financial conversation. It is easy to sound spiritual until this is the thing sitting in front of you. Sometimes the breakthrough is not a dramatic change in circumstances. Sometimes it is catching the old pattern before you obey it again. Money is a tool and a stewardship issue, not a measure of your worth or God's love. Jesus Christ is still Lord when the numbers make you nervous. Let truth interrupt the reflex before the reflex becomes another chapter.

What are you trying to control because you are afraid to trust God with the outcome?

Jesus, I do not want an old pattern making today's decision for me. Renew my mind, steady my emotions, and lead me in truth. You are Lord here too. Amen.
