When you keep comparing your beginning to somebody's middle. That sounds small until it is your Tuesday morning. Honesty about the circumstance is not unbelief. Reality deserves honesty, but it does not deserve lordship. Your identity is larger than the role, title, appearance, or approval attached to you. The verdict that matters most belongs to Jesus Christ. Do not let urgency make the decision for you. Use that space to make a faithful choice instead of an automatic one.

Which part of this situation is actually yours to handle? What outcome are you carrying that belongs in God's hands?

Lord Jesus, You see what I can explain and what I still cannot name. Keep my emotions from becoming my master, and teach me to follow You in this. Amen.
