When you keep reopening a door God helped you close
Galatians 6:5
Each person has responsibilities they must carry themselves.
When you keep reopening a door God helped you close. This is the kind of moment that can expose what has really been running underneath. You may not control the other person, the timing, the number, the diagnosis, or the outcome. You do control what you agree with and what you bring to Jesus Christ. A boundary is not a punishment. It is a decision about what you will participate in, and Jesus Christ never modeled unlimited access to every demand. Do the next faithful thing, then stop trying to carry the part that belongs to God.
Which reaction feels automatic here, and what would obedience look like instead?
Jesus, interrupt whatever is automatic in me that does not look like Your truth. Give me a clear mind, a guarded heart, and the courage to do the next faithful thing. Amen.
