When you need to grieve what never happened
Isaiah 43:18-19
God can do a new thing without requiring you to deny the past.
When you need to grieve what never happened. This is where faith gets practical. Pay attention to the sentence your mind writes next. Is it telling you that you are unwanted, unsafe, behind, foolish, trapped, or forgotten? That sentence matters because repeated thoughts eventually start sounding like facts. Healing does not require pretending it did not hurt. Jesus Christ can meet you in the wound without letting the wound become your identity. One honest decision under the lordship of Jesus Christ can be the beginning of a completely different pattern.
What would you advise someone you love to do if they were standing where you are?
Jesus Christ, I release my need to control how this turns out. Help me steward what You actually placed in my hands and trust You with what You did not. Amen.
