When you need to remember the cross. There is usually more happening here than the obvious problem. There is no virtue in denial, but there is also no freedom in self-definition by circumstance. Wisdom sees clearly; captivity lets the circumstance become a label. Spiritual maturity is not pretending doubt, fatigue, or disappointment never visit. Let the person and work of Jesus Christ carry what your feelings cannot. Stop presenting God with the polished summary. He can work with what is true, not what merely sounds respectable.
