When you need to stop arguing with a boundary violator. There is usually more happening here than the obvious problem. Facing the truth of the situation does not require handing it your identity. Keep the event in its proper place: part of your story, not the source of your identity. Healthy limits protect stewardship, peace, and integrity. A boundary can honor Jesus Christ without requiring someone else's approval. Prayer is not the place to perform being fine. Let Him meet you at the level where the real struggle is happening.

Which label are you putting on yourself because of what happened? Which sentence needs to lose your agreement?

Jesus, I stop treating control as if it were the same thing as faithfulness. Teach me where my responsibility ends and surrender begins. Amen.
