When you need to stop being everybody's therapist. It is easy to sound spiritual until this is the thing sitting in front of you. Sometimes the breakthrough is not a dramatic change in circumstances. Sometimes it is catching the old pattern before you obey it again. A boundary is not a punishment. It is a decision about what you will participate in, and Jesus Christ never modeled unlimited access to every demand. Let truth interrupt the reflex before the reflex becomes another chapter.

What are you trying to control because you are afraid to trust God with the outcome?

Jesus Christ, I release my need to control how this turns out. Help me steward what You actually placed in my hands and trust You with what You did not. Amen.
