When you need to stop forcing the next chapter
Habakkuk 2:3
God's appointed time may seem slow, but His word is not late.
When you need to stop forcing the next chapter. You can look completely fine on the outside while this is doing a number on you inside. The first feeling is not always the problem. The problem is what you let that feeling authorize. Fear can authorize control. Rejection can authorize chasing. Shame can authorize hiding. Exhaustion can authorize choices you would not make from a clear mind. Waiting is not proof that God has forgotten you. Jesus Christ is present in the part of the story that has no visible movement yet. The goal today is not to control the outcome. It is to stay aligned with Christ while the outcome is still unknown.
What would change if you stopped treating this moment like a verdict?
Jesus, I do not want an old pattern making today's decision for me. Renew my mind, steady my emotions, and lead me in truth. You are Lord here too. Amen.
