Guard your heart because the direction of your life flows from it.

When you outgrow the version of you they preferred. That sounds small until it is your Tuesday morning. You do not have to deny what is happening. Christianity is not pretending. The question is whether the circumstance gets to become lord over the meaning of your life. Love does not require you to ignore wisdom. Jesus Christ can teach you to love people without handing them authority He never gave them. You are allowed to slow down long enough to choose obedience instead of repetition.

What part of this situation belongs to you, and what part are you trying to carry for God?

Lord Jesus Christ, I bring You the part I can explain and the part I cannot. Keep me from reacting out of fear, shame, pride, or loneliness. Teach me to move with You. Amen.
