When you survived it but never processed it

God can do a new thing without requiring you to deny the past.

Isaiah 43:18-19

When you survived it but never processed it. It is easy to sound spiritual until this is the thing sitting in front of you. Sometimes the first change is simply recognizing the pattern sooner. Seeing the reflex before following it gives truth room to lead. The fact that something hurt deeply does not mean it gets permanent ownership of you. Jesus Christ can meet you in the wound without letting the wound become your identity. Reflex is fast, but truth can still interrupt it. A faithful interruption can keep the same story from repeating.

Which part of this are you treating as if everything depends on you? What belongs in God's hands instead?

Jesus Christ, I entrust the outcome to You instead of trying to become its manager. Help me act responsibly without crossing into control. Amen.
