When you want a guarantee before you move

Many plans can live in a person's heart, but the Lord's purpose stands.

Proverbs 19:21

When you want a guarantee before you move. There is usually more happening here than the obvious problem. You can be honest about what happened without becoming what happened. Christ is still the authority over your identity. Clarity is helpful, but total certainty is not the standard for obedience. Let Christ lead the next faithful step even when the whole road is not visible. You do not need to clean this up before you bring it to Christ. Jesus Christ already sees the fear, motive, grief, and hope underneath it.

What conclusion about yourself did this circumstance seem to confirm? Where does the story conflict with your identity in Jesus Christ?

Jesus Christ, I place the ending of this situation back in Your hands. Lead me in the work that is mine and release me from carrying what is not. Amen.
