When your body remembers what your mind avoids

2 Corinthians 12:9

Christ's grace is sufficient, and His power is made perfect in weakness.

When your body remembers what your mind avoids. That sounds small until it is your Tuesday morning. You do not have to deny what is happening. Christianity is not pretending. The question is whether the circumstance gets to become lord over the meaning of your life. Healing does not require pretending it did not hurt. Jesus Christ can meet you in the wound without letting the wound become your identity. You are allowed to slow down long enough to choose obedience instead of repetition.

What part of this situation belongs to you, and what part are you trying to carry for God?

Jesus, interrupt whatever is automatic in me that does not look like Your truth. Give me a clear mind, a guarded heart, and the courage to do the next faithful thing. Amen.
