When your child chooses friends you do not like

What God entrusts to you can also be entrusted back to Him.

1 Samuel 1:27-28

When your child chooses friends you do not like. This is where faith gets practical. Your first internal conclusion may sound convincing because it is familiar. Jesus Christ is not obligated to agree with the conclusion fear wrote for you. Loving your child well does not require becoming the lord of their future. Entrust your child to God where your influence stops and your anxiety wants to take over. A new direction can begin with one choice made under Christ's authority. The pattern changes when Christ, not reflex, directs the next step.

If a person you love asked for biblical counsel here, what would you offer them? Which part of that advice do you need to follow yourself?

Lord Jesus, I surrender the outcome I keep trying to manage. Let me do my part with integrity and leave Your part in Your hands. Amen.
