When your child fails publicly
Parents should raise children in the instruction of the Lord without provoking them.
Ephesians 6:4
When your child fails publicly. Nobody puts that on a vision board, but people live it every day. Look beneath the first emotion and identify the conclusion attached to it. Truth needs a moment to speak before habit takes the microphone. You can care deeply for your child without being able to manage every part of their story. Let God hold the part of your child's life that no parent can control. Today may feel ordinary, but obedience still matters. Choose what is true even if the old feeling is still present.
Are you listening for correction as readily as confirmation? Where might Scripture disagree with the response you prefer?
Jesus Christ, help me see this situation clearly instead of through the story fear has written. Give me wisdom without panic, courage without control, and trust without pretending. Amen.
