When your child is struggling in school

Children are a gift from the Lord, not property to control.

Psalm 127:3

When your child is struggling in school. Nobody puts that on a vision board, but people live it every day. Ask yourself what meaning you are assigning to this before you react. Truth needs a moment to speak before habit takes the microphone. Your child matters enormously to you, but their life was never meant to rest entirely on your shoulders. Entrust your child to God where your influence stops and your anxiety wants to take over. Faithfulness can be quiet and still be real. Choose what is true even if the old feeling is still present.

Where might familiarity be disguising itself as wisdom? Where might Scripture disagree with the response you prefer?

Lord Jesus, do not let yesterday's reflex govern today's response. Reorder my thinking and direct my next step under Your lordship. Amen.
