When your confidence disappears in the room

There is no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.

Romans 8:1

When your confidence disappears in the room. It is easy to sound spiritual until this is the thing sitting in front of you. Breakthrough is not always a visible change around you. Catching the old pattern before you obey it again is real progress. Other people's opinions are poor foundations for identity. Jesus Christ is the One with authority to name you. Do not let the reflex write the next part automatically. Choose the response that agrees with Jesus Christ.

What part of this are you trying hardest to control? What would trusting God with that part actually require?

Jesus, I do not want an old pattern making this decision for me. Renew my mind, steady my emotions, and lead me in truth. You are Lord here too. Amen.
