A life without self-control is vulnerable like a city without walls.

When your environment keeps feeding the habit. Nobody puts that on a vision board, but people live it every day. Before you react, ask what this moment is trying to make you believe. Old patterns survive because they move quickly, before truth gets a chance to speak. A habit becomes dangerous when it starts deciding for you. Jesus Christ did not free you so another appetite could quietly become your master. You do not need a dramatic feeling today. You need enough truth to refuse the old script one more time.

Jesus, I do not want an old pattern making today's decision for me. Renew my mind, steady my emotions, and lead me in truth. You are Lord here too. Amen.
