When your faith feels smaller after suffering

The gospel centers on Christ crucified for our sins and raised from the dead.

1 Corinthians 15:3-4

When your faith feels smaller after suffering. This is the kind of moment that can expose what has really been running underneath. Not everything involved in this situation belongs in your hands. Stay responsible for your response without pretending you are responsible for everything. Spiritual maturity is not pretending doubt, fatigue, or disappointment never visit. Return to Jesus Christ Himself rather than measuring faith by your emotional temperature. Be faithful with the next concrete step. Faithfulness has a boundary; let God remain God beyond it.

Where do you notice yourself moving on reflex? How could you answer this moment from truth rather than habit?

Jesus, I give up the illusion that I can secure every result. Give me courage to be faithful without demanding certainty. Amen.
