When your family does not understand your faith

God sees loneliness and places people in family.

Psalm 68:6

When your family does not understand your faith. This is the kind of moment that can expose what has really been running underneath. Much of this may be outside your control. Your responsibility is your response, your agreement, and your obedience before Jesus Christ. Your family story matters, but it is not sovereign over what comes next. The old family script does not outrank the transforming work of Jesus Christ. Do the next thing that faithfulness requires. After that, stop carrying what was never assigned to you.

What response feels automatic in this situation? How would a Christ-led response differ from that reflex?

Lord, keep the old script from choosing on my behalf today. Make my thinking clear and my emotions steady enough to follow You faithfully. Amen.
