When your identity is attached to being productive

Commit your work to the Lord and let Him establish what is His.

Proverbs 16:3

When your identity is attached to being productive. That sounds small until it is your Tuesday morning. Christian faith makes room for reality without bowing to it. The question is whether this moment gets to define what is true about you. A job can be important without becoming the source of your worth. Serve with integrity, but keep your identity rooted in Christ rather than your output. You are allowed to take a moment before you respond. Let your next response be shaped by truth rather than reflex.

Which piece belongs to your obedience rather than your anxiety? Where can you stop after doing what is actually yours?

Lord Jesus, separate the facts of this situation from the fearful meaning I have attached to them. Give me courage to act on truth and peace about what remains outside my control. Amen.
