When your phone is the first voice you hear. This is where faith gets practical. The story you repeat internally can start feeling factual simply because it is familiar. Jesus Christ is not obligated to agree with the conclusion fear wrote for you. A habit becomes dangerous when it quietly starts deciding for you. Jesus Christ did not free you so another appetite could become your master. One obedient response can become the first brick in a different pattern. The pattern changes when Christ, not reflex, directs the next step.

If you could step outside your own emotions for a moment, what counsel would you give another person? Which part of that advice do you need to follow yourself?

Jesus, I bring You the facts, the emotions, and the questions I cannot resolve. Give me a clear response that reflects Your truth rather than my panic. Amen.
