When your teenager barely talks

Be quick to listen, slow to speak, and slow to anger.

James 1:19

When your teenager barely talks. It is easy to sound spiritual until this is the thing sitting in front of you. The situation may remain the same while something important changes in you. The pattern loses ground when you notice it before acting on it. A parent's love can be fierce, and it still has limits. Your child ultimately belongs to God, and Jesus Christ can lead where your reach ends. You can stop the next chapter from being written on autopilot. Make room for obedience before momentum takes over.

Where is control masquerading as responsibility? What might faithful release look like here?

Jesus, interrupt the automatic response in me that does not agree with Your truth. Give me enough courage to make one different, obedient choice. Amen.
