When your title changes overnight

Your old life is not the final word, Christ now lives in you.

Galatians 2:20

When your title changes overnight. Nobody puts that on a vision board, but people live it every day. Catch the conclusion forming underneath your first reaction. Familiar reactions survive by outrunning careful truth. Achievement and failure are both too small to name you. Let Jesus Christ, not performance or approval, define what is true about you. A dramatic feeling is not required for a faithful response. Let truth be sufficient for the next faithful choice.

When you ask for advice, what answer are you secretly hoping to receive? How can you tell the difference today?

Lord Jesus, separate the facts of this situation from the fearful meaning I have attached to them. Lead me in what is mine to do and help me release what is not. Amen.
