False Identity
By Jackie Overstreet • November 3, 2025

When words disguise themselves as concern.
There’s a reason I tell my daughters to be careful what they repeat.
Words carry spirit.
And sometimes, words that sound sincere are really curses dressed up as concern.
People mean well. They’ll say, “I hope you find peace,” not realizing you already have it. His name is Jesus.
They’ll call your stillness “stuck” and your healing “unfinished.”
They don’t see that their version of wholeness might be rooted in their own insecurity.
That’s why it’s dangerous to accept every word spoken over you.
Because when you agree with it, you align with it — even if it’s false.
The Word says, “He whom the Son sets free is free indeed.” John 8:36
That’s final. That’s identity.
~Maybe they’re right about you.~
No. They don’t get to define you — God already did.
Jesus never operated from pity. Pity keeps people bound. Faith sets them free.
So when someone “speaks” from a place of pity, you can smile and say,
“I appreciate that — but I’m already healed.”
You don’t have to fight for your identity. Just refuse to surrender it.
Focus Point:
Not every word spoken is pure — some are projections in disguise.
Share this with someone tired of defending who God already said they are. Truth doesn’t need defense; it just needs remembering.
— Jackie, praying you stay anchored in truth, (Jesus Christ) not opinion.

If you've said this, you're not broken. You're just missing ONE piece.
"I saw my pattern on page 2. I literally gasped. This is why my relationships always end the same way."
