The Budget of Influence

By Jackie Overstreet September 18, 2025

Why wisdom in Jesus Christ requires auditing your surroundings like currency

The enemy is crafty. If he can’t break you outright, he’ll cloud your judgment with noise.

Just keep moving, it’ll all work out.

That’s not wisdom—that’s drift.

Capacity is a gift. It’s how much you can carry and still keep focus. But capacity without discernment becomes danger. Because not everything—and not everyone—deserves space in your life.

Think of it like a budget. A real budget doesn’t limit freedom; it creates it. It shows you what’s possible, what’s sustainable, and what’s reckless. The same applies to your time, your energy, your relationships. Audit them like dollars. Who gets your focus? Who drains it? Who adds nothing but noise?

This isn’t paranoia. It’s stewardship. Jesus Christ gave us tools—boundaries, discernment, Spirit-led wisdom—to manage life well. To keep us free from exploitation and distraction.

The people around you shape your judgment more than you know. Audit your circle, adjust your inputs, and watch how clarity returns.

So here’s the question: if you tracked your influence like a budget, what would you discover about your surroundings?

Budgets reveal the truth. If you’re ready to keep auditing what shapes you, subscribe, and let’s keep balancing influence with clarity in Christ.

"I've Tried Everything. Nothing Works. "

If you've said this, you're not broken. You're just missing ONE piece.

The pattern you can't see (but everyone around you can)
Why the same situations keep showing up
How to stop the cycle without "doing more work on yourself"

"I saw my pattern on page 2. I literally gasped. This is why my relationships always end the same way."
