How Daily Surrender to God Rewires Damaged Neural Pathways
Brandon Lake's "Hallelujah" was playing in my heart this morning: "I throw up my
hands, I praise You again and again; all I have is a hallelujah... I know it's not much, but I
have nothing else left to give; all that I have is a hallelujah."
That's where my mind was this morning when I woke up. Another day, another grind,
another opportunity to rewire those neural pathways that were damaged long ago.
Sometimes that's all you have. Sometimes that's all that fits for the King. All I have is a
hallelujah, and I know it's not much, but it's everything.
Choosing different means choosing God to be the center of everything.
"I lift up my eyes to the hills—where does my help come from? My help comes from the
Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth." (Psalm 121:1-2)
I know that nothing happens unless God wills it, and I also know that my divine
assignment rests in Him providing me what I need for that day. "Give us today our daily
bread." (Matthew 6:11)
True healing happens when the refusal to settle for "good enough" begins.
"'For I know the plans I have for you,' declares the Lord, 'plans to prosper you and not to
harm you, to give you hope and a future.'" (Jeremiah 29:11) This is how He feels about
me.
God is serious about me. He loves His girls. My purpose in life is to make sure that others
know how He feels about them too. That's where my sincere desire comes from.
There's nothing greater, nothing more important than helping others see themselves as
God sees them.
Jesus Christ, the Son of God, designed you for freedom that was predestined long before
you were born. You matter in more ways than you could ever even consider.
My prayer for you today is that you walk in that freedom and know that you matter. Let
those words resonate in your mind and heart.
Make a conscious choice to choose you today. We do this by submitting to the one and
only true God, allowing Him to rule and reign and have authority in every area of our
lives.
Say this with me: "I surrender to Your authority, Heavenly Father. Do the things in me You
need to do, and I will obey. Thank You for life, health, and strength. Thank You for
leading me here to this place, for now I know this is just the start of a beautiful new
future that I'm building with You as my foundation."
