The Fire in the Room

Why self-perception shapes what you carry and who you allow in your life.
We live in a culture that says “the more the merrier.”
Pack your schedule. Fill the room. Smile like you belong.
But here’s the hidden cost: every interaction, every conversation, every voice you absorb—it all sinks deeper than you think.
It’s like standing in a room filled with smoke. You may not see the fire, but you’re still inhaling it. And over time, it weighs you down.
The truth is, self-perception is everything. It’s not just about how you see yourself—it’s about who you let sit at your table, whose words you allow into your bloodstream.
If I don’t hold it all together, everything will fall apart.
Truth: Jesus Christ already carried what you’re duct-taping. He already paid for what you’re pretending to fix.
So, stop clinging. Stop patching. Stop rehearsing the same role of glue in a story He already finished.
You don’t have to “try harder” to be enough. You already are, in Him.
When you let go, when you unplug from the noise, when you stop duct-taping everything together—you see what was holding you back wasn’t the weight, but the lie that it was all on you.
Jesus Christ is the firm foundation. Not your hustle. Not your façade. Not your ability to manage every outcome.
Let it fall—and watch what He raises in its place.
Focus Point
The smoke you’ve been breathing in? It wasn’t oxygen. Let it clear. What remains will be real. What remains will be Him.
