The Missing Data

By Jackie Overstreet September 21, 2025

Why incomplete information isn’t failure—it’s an invitation to lean on Jesus Christ

Most of us do the best we can with the information in front of us.

Every decision must be perfect.

No, it doesn’t.

Sometimes we act with missing details. Sometimes distractions cloud our judgment. Sometimes emotions distort the timing. That’s not failure—it’s human.

What I had to learn is that nothing is too small for God. The “mundane” doesn’t exist to Him. If it matters to you, it matters to Him. Joy, sorrow, striving, anxiety—He’s the lover of your soul and concerned with it all.

Life doesn’t just need data. It needs discernment. And discernment comes from leaning on Jesus Christ in every decision—large or small. He delights in our weakness, not because He mocks it, but because it gives Him room to prove His strength.

So if you’re carrying fragments today—broken pieces of choices you don’t understand—lay them at His feet. Watch Him work.

The real question isn’t “Do I have enough information?” The real question is: “Will I trust Jesus Christ with the gaps?”

If this spoke to you, share it with someone still trying to make perfect decisions with imperfect data.

"I've Tried Everything. Nothing Works. "

If you've said this, you're not broken. You're just missing ONE piece.

Why the same situations keep showing up
How to stop the cycle without "doing more work on yourself"

"I saw my pattern on page 2. I literally gasped. This is why my relationships always end the same way."
