Why God Doesn't Owe You an Explanation Before He Says Don't Touch That
Like a small child, He gives the insight we need so we don't spend countless years healing from stuff we could have avoided.
A toddler reaching for a hot stove doesn't need a physics lecture on thermal conductivity. They need "Don't touch that." God operates the same way. He doesn't owe you a dissertation on why before He says no.
I need to understand why before I obey.
Obedience isn't contingent on your comprehension of the danger.
Walk circumspectly, not as fools but as wise. The days are evil. God cares deeply and doesn't want you battling the repercussions of willful sin. Jesus Christ warns before damage, not after. You can demand explanations and touch the stove anyway. Or you can just trust the Father who sees what you don't.
What are you demanding God explain before you'll obey what He's already said?
