How Spiritual Hackers Use Subtlety to Attack Your Identity in Christ

Here's what hackers know that you don't.

The best attacks are the ones you never see coming.

"The weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty in God for pulling down

strongholds, casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the

knowledge of God." (2 Corinthians 10:4-5)

What are you doing when the simple things in life seem so confusing? I never like to use

that word "confusing" because the power of life and death is in the tongue.

But here's what I've learned about spiritual hackers: they specialize in subtlety.

There are times when there's absolutely nothing wrong, yet the mind finds ways to

clutter itself with things presented in a fashion where the sole purpose was distraction.

The enemy may not know what God is doing, but he's laid out plans since you were a

child—subtle plans throughout your life to distort what Jesus Christ says you are.

This could come from work. From friends. From family. From preconceived notions, fear,

anxiety, overthinking.

It could come. It could come. It could come.

The key to all this is understanding its subtlety. Its goal is to work over an extended

period of time. And as it does that, it gets you.

But here's the fascinating part—and here comes the good news: Jesus Christ already

thought about this too.

The word "fear not" is listed 365 times in the Bible. It's like God saying, "You need a dose

of this once a day."

One of the things I love about following Jesus Christ is He uncomplicates everything.

Choosing Him is the first step. He will never force you to do anything you're not ready to

do. And let me tell you, it's one of the best things you could ever do for your life.

When you choose Him, you foil all the affirmation, all the schemes, and plans—all the

subtle, well-made plans—you lay at His feet.

And I mean truly lay at His feet. When you give it to Him, don't be digging in His pockets.

"Cast all your cares on Him because He cares for you." (1 Peter 5:7)

Ask Him into your heart to be the lover of your soul and to guide your steps moving

forward. Tell Him you want Him to rule and reign in authority in every area of your life.

You're tired of fighting. You just want Him to have His way in your life.

The old saints used to say, "Have Your way, Jesus." They knew something.

This is how you have that freedom you've been longing so desperately for.

Jesus Christ, the Son of God, is the ultimate antivirus software. He doesn't just detect

the attacks—He prevents them.

Are you running the right protection, or are you vulnerable to the subtlety?
