Finding Purpose in Jesus Christ Beyond Passion and Idle Words
The world says to follow your passion.
That’s the secret to purpose.
But passion burns out. Purpose endures.
Two words you’ll never hear me say: I’m bored.
Each morning, when my feet hit the floor, I know I’ve rattled hell.
Not because of my agenda, but because of the words I carry.
Life and death sit in the power of the tongue (Proverbs 18:21). What I speak matters.
Idle words waste power.
And yet, we toss them out to cover silence, to mask uncertainty, to fill gaps that make us uncomfortable.
But silence isn’t empty—it’s formative. It’s where God makes things clear.
Purpose isn’t found in chasing passions.
It’s discovered when you look at what’s in your hand, when you put one foot in front of the other, and when you learn to listen.
That’s when you see that the journey itself is the destination.
And don’t expect purpose to look like what you imagined.
God rarely reveals the whole map.
He calls you to trust Him, not your own outline.
Your purpose isn’t what entertains you.
It’s what aligns you with Jesus Christ, day by day.
What words are you releasing into the atmosphere today—life or death?
