How Life Strengthens Wisdom Instead of Wearing You Out
If there's one thing I'm gonna have, it's gonna be my peace of mind. I paid too high a
price to get where I am right now, to not bask in experiencing the things I prayed for
some time ago.
No one tells you that when you get older, you experience a level of unbothered that's off
the charts.
I used to wonder about older women whose mannerisms and responses were just so
different. I thought they had some type of formal training. But what it really is: life didn't
wear them out—it strengthened the wisdom in them.
The Bible speaks of wisdom as "her." I've often wondered about the depth of what that
really means. What does wisdom really mean? What kind of power does it hold?
Being unbothered isn't about not caring. It's about caring so much about your peace
that you refuse to let anything disturb it.
You stop apologizing for protecting your peace. You realize that the women you admired
weren't born unbothered—they earned it through experience, wisdom, and
understanding that their peace of mind is worth more than anyone's opinion.
Jesus Christ designed you to grow in wisdom, not just age. The peace of mind you have
now came at a price—every lesson learned, every boundary set, every time you chose
yourself over chaos.
That's the tuition for unbothered.
What price are you willing to pay for the peace of mind you're praying for?
