Why Sometimes You Answer a Fool and Sometimes You Don't, Depending on the Outcome

Proverbs 26:4-5 says don't answer a fool according to his folly, or you'll be like him. Answer a fool according to his folly, or he'll be wise in his own eyes.

Wait, which is it? Both. Jesus Christ gives you discernment to know which moment requires which response. Sometimes engaging fools makes you foolish. Sometimes silence makes them think they won.

Kingdom wisdom knows the difference. Some arguments you walk away from. Some you engage to expose the foolishness before it multiplies. Not every fool gets a response. Not every fool gets ignored. Discernment tells you which is which. Ask Jesus. He'll show you. Some fools need silence. Some need their folly answered so it's exposed. Know the difference. That's wisdom.

Are you answering every fool and becoming like them, or discerning which moments require response and which require silence?
