The Cliff Guardrail

Why God's No Looks Like Restriction Until You See the Drop It's Blocking
Walk circumspectly, not as fools but as wise, for the days are evil.
Guardrails on mountain roads look like restrictions when you can't see the thousand-foot drop on the other side. You're annoyed they're blocking your view. God sees the cliff you're racing toward in the dark.
These rules are limiting my freedom.
These boundaries are blocking the wreckage you can't see yet.
All the things God tells us not to do aren't because He's a buzzkill, but because He cares deeply and doesn't want us battling repercussions of willful sin. Like a small child, He gives insight now so you don't spend countless years healing from stuff you could have avoided. Jesus Christ's "No" is a guardrail, not a cage.
What boundary are you resenting that's actually blocking a cliff you can't see?
